RATIONALE
This webinar aims to describe the proper clinical treatment of Acute Respiratory Failure with Non Invasive interfaces in adult and pediatric patients, in acute and sub-acute departments. The main purpose will be to develop the knowledge and skills related to the different timing and available ventilation modes, by means of Non Invasive Interfaces.
Particular attention will be paid to the indications and contraindications for the use of the Helmet, the benefits of the new Total Face Mask with ZERO CO2 rebreathing, the best setting of free flow CPAP systems, bedside analysis and optimization of the patient-ventilator interaction during NIV with Helmet, both in the adult and pediatric patient. The use of the Helmet will be thoroughly evaluated, also in comparison to other common interfaces for Non Invasive Ventilation, in terms of clinical effectiveness and comfort for the patient.
